Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Full-Stack Engineering
Supporting legal and corporate operations with configurable enterprise workflow tools
Introduction
01
Taller's engagement with the global technology company is a client-internal-platforms partnership: work delivered against the global technology company's own corporate-systems estate rather than against the global technology company's customers. Pods are sourced primarily from Argentina and Brazil and have produced engineers the global technology company has formally recognized in its own quarterly awards program.
Problem
02
The global technology company's internal corporate-systems estate runs on the platform the global technology company also sells, which creates a particular operational expectation: internal deployments must demonstrate the platform's capabilities while meeting the firm's own risk and audit posture. The strategic challenge is staffing the engineering capacity that can deliver against named internal programs (the corporate and legal affairs function) at the cadence the global technology company requires.
Solution
03
Taller's pods design and build full-stack applications that integrate Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement and Finance & Operations) with the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), Dataverse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks. Full-stack engineering against the Dynamics 365 plus Power Platform stack is a different discipline from generic .NET development. The platform absorbs a meaningful share of the application surface through its low-code primitives, and the engineering work focuses on the parts that require code. This includes custom development using TypeScript, JavaScript, and C# to extend the platform where the model-driven app surface does not reach; Azure DevOps pipelines that handle the deployment cadence across managed and unmanaged solutions; and the integration layer that connects Dataverse to the broader data estate without breaking the platform's tenant and security model.
Impact
04
Taller's pods deliver against named the global technology company programs (the legal affairs department). Taller's Lead Dynamics Engineer was named Consultant of the Quarter by the client. The client mandated one-hundred-percent GitHub Copilot adoption inside the pods within one to two months.
Significance
05
Delivering against the global technology company's own internal estate — building for the global technology company's own teams, not for their customers — is a different kind of partnership. The discipline required to earn that engagement is the same discipline the global technology company's own engineering function holds itself to. Recognition inside the global technology company's quarterly awards program is the formal signal that the engagement has crossed from vendor relationship into trusted internal-partner status: the global technology company's own people affirming that the work met their bar, not just a client's.
